9It's one thing to say you're willing to participate in keeping people safer, but quite another to actually take steps to do that." When I was a young, American-born Australian kid, I was lucky enough to receive a quality education. I learned a great deal about humanity and morality that helped establish most of the foundations of my current value system and opinions. One of the most important examples of that was the school motto: "Esse Quam Videri". It's Latin, it means "To be, rather than to seem to be." Few phrases have stuck with me like this one. This is why I've adopted it as the official motto of Portum. This is exactly what I want our company to be: exactly what it says it is.We're in the business of anonymity. This is what we specifically offer that the other health passports/wallets/credentialing tech (whatever you want to call them) do not. Our software is inherently anonymous, it was built that way. So, it's only natural that our company must also be inherently built to protect and preserve that integrity. We have to be utterly transparent in order to convince the general public that we are what we say we are. I've been writing articles about our privacy and anonymity for months, but saying it is not enough. We have to do what we say, stay faithful to core ideas of integrity and transparency, and always put the security and privacy of the end user ahead of any other considerations; in short, to actually be as we say.Our solution is also voluntary, which allows the people who use our system a chance to be as they seem as well. In most of the US, there is not, and will not soon be, a comprehensive health database "DO WHAT YOU SAY, BE WHAT YOU SEEMMichael Goldman, President, CEO, InVitam Inc.(Portum)listing people's vaccination and testing status. Therefore, we all have to cooperate to keep each other safer. Our software allows people to anonymously opt-in to a virtual community that is more committed to the wellness and peace of mind of everyone in it. Portum is a digital way for us all to communicate sensitive information that is essential to keeping people safer from infection, anonymously. It's one thing to say you're willing to participate in keeping people safer, but quite another to actually take steps to do that. Most of the other solutions require you to fill out multiple forms, each with information about you, and they trace your movements all the time. Even worse, most are tied to governments (Big Brother, anyone?) and big tech companies that also specialize in selling personal information. That's a lot to ask of someone to get into a basketball game. Portum offers a way to voluntarily help out without all the personal information and privacy concerns, and it's easy and anonymous. Portum is a way to be rather than to seem, when it comes to health security. Are you starting to see why I chose it as our official slogan? The nextnormal will offer us all many chances to exhibit good character. CXO INSIGHTS
